Each day you’ll receive a technique class (Ballet, Modern, or Contemporary) and rehearsal.

classes

A class for the ballet dancer who is familiar with terminology and ballet steps. Some experience required. Start class with a thorough barre working on ballet technique and barre combinations. Moving those skills to the center and across the floor

No experience necessary. Learn the basics steps and technique of jazz. Start with a follow along warm up to stretch and build strength, move across the floor to work on coordination, and end with a fun combo to work on musicality and build confidence.

A full body workout that will leave you feeling energized and accomplished. Combining techniques from pilates, ballet and yoga, we will start with a warm up and arms, move to the barre for some booty and side body work, and finish with abs and a quick stretch

Emphasizing that the “floor is our first partner”, this class will cover various ways on how we can approach floorwork as naturally as possible. We will explore the natural weight of our limbs, building efficient transitions, and encouraging a safe environment to take risks. This class is perfect for beginners and/or experienced dancers. Long pants, long sleeve or short sleeved shirts, and knee pants are encouraged. 

Class will begin with a guided warm-up and progress into a series of short phrases followed by a big juicy movement combination that specifically incorporates elements from class. This class is about being curious, honing our sensory awareness, & maximizing efficiency! Long pants and/or knee pads are suggested.

No experience necessary. Learn the basics steps and technique of ballet. Start working on your skills at the barre then move to the center and across the floor. Perfect for those who have never taken ballet, haven’t danced in a long time, or want to get back to basics.

Get your #NowickiSweat on! This advanced class starts with a thorough lively warm up followed by a a juicy stretch, ending with an challenging combo focusing on musicality, floor work, and athleticism

This class will focus on creating a well rounded dancer by blending a mix of ballet barre with contemporary combinations for the center work. We will stress the importance of breath, use of the torso and spine in a more contemporary manner and developing performance quality and artistry. This class will encourage freedom of thought and movement interpretation. Participants will strive for technical virtuosity as well as finding their own personal artistic voice.

The Countertechnique® class is a contemporary dance technique class. It stretches, coordinates and strengthens the body, making the dancer sweat, build stamina and really move.

The class starts with a recurring set of exercises, allowing dancers to investigate the Countertechnique® principles in detail. The second half of the class consists of changing components, working towards luscious movement combinations and jumping at the end.

The Countertechnique® class results in dancers using less energy, losing their fear of taking risks and gaining speed in changing direction. Learn More

No experience necessary. Learn and explore the contemporary movement style. Expect a warm up at the beginning of class, across the floor exercises, and a combination to encourage self-expression at the end of class. Perfect for those new to dance, coming back after a break, or just want to take a class that focuses on the building blocks of contemporary.

Starting with a guided improve based body scan/breath focused warm up and moving into modern X’s on the floor. Moving across the floor and through pliés focusing on fluidity and expansion. Culminating in longer exercises or combos incorporating floor work and momentum.

Starting with improvisation, using gravity, planes of space, the floor as a tool, and clear initiation points. Moving into phrase work incorporating and complicating what was explored while finding verticality, and making transitions more fluid and seamless. It will challenging the body to stay relaxed and efficient.

Dancers will explore the origins of modern dance through the technique of Isadora Duncan, which focuses on freedom, flow and spontaneity, fosters creativity and connection with others & the self, and emphasizes musicality. Some previous dance experience recommended
